Home networks only
Snitch Plus can scan shared folders, NAS units and mapped drives on a home network. It is not a business tool: domain-connected PCs, servers and organisation-wide scanning are PinPoint Auditor only, and the technology demos will not run on a domain-connected system. To try the network features properly, ask for a PinPoint Auditor demo and run it on your own network.
Two cleanup methods, both permanent
Snitch's Delete removes a file from view, but its contents stay on the disk until that space is reused, so undelete tools can recover it. Delete & Scrub overwrites the file first. On an SSD the drive's own wear-levelling can keep a copy out of reach of the overwrite, so no method is a guarantee. Nothing is deleted without an itemised confirmation.
